Our Story
For more than 100 years, the Marks family has been making wine in the heart of California’s Sacramento Delta.
Surrounded by cherry orchards, Six Hands is the quintessential small production family farm. Our hand-crafted wines are available at a variety of California wine shops and local restaurants but are most accessible on our website, via our wine club or at the winery.
As multi-generational stewards of the land, Six Hands remains committed to sustainable farming with the aim of protecting the ranch for years to come.

Today, Six Hands Winery produces eleven grape varietals (Sauvignon Blanc, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Petite Sirah, Carigane and Zinfandel) and bottles them into 16 unique, small-batch cuvees.
We believe that good wine is best made in the vineyards with as little intervention as possible once the grapes reach the winery. With some careful nurturing, the natural subtleties of our grapes and the land they come from speak for themselves.
Being such a small winery has its advantages: it allows us to give complete attention to each batch of grapes, insuring that every bottle meets our highest standards.
